Eines der bekanntesten Wahrzeichen ist das neue Rathaus. Dank Oberbürgermeister Christian Ude (SPD) wird der schwulen Szene das Rathaus mit seinen historischen Sälen als Partylocation zum CSD geöffnet. Aber auch sonst ist das Gebäude für Touristen besuchbar. Unter anderem kann man den Stadtoberhäuptern auf’s Dach steigen, um einen herrlichen Blick über den Marienplatz zu genießen.
